Worship Jehovah!

God is our Creator.  Let's stand in awe of Him!

"Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him."

Psalms 33:8

This psalm seeks the praise of every person on earth for Jehovah.  One of the reasons given for praising Him is that He has created it all.  See how the psalmist describes the LORD’s creative activity.

“By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.  He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.  Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast,” (Psalm 33:6-9).

He spoke, “by the breath of His mouth,” and all of the heavenly hosts were made.  He packed the waters in their “storehouses.”  All He had to do was speak, and the creation was made.  By His command, everything is in its place.  It is in this context that we find our verse of the day.

“Let all the earth fear the LORD:”
Because Jehovah made each person who inhabits His earth, the psalmist calls for everyone in the earth to “fear the LORD.”  The psalmist is not just thinking nationally of the sons of Abraham fearing Jehovah, but he calls for all human beings to worship Him.  Note that the writer doesn’t consider the hang-ups of the agnostic or atheist, he calls them to worship the true God as well.

All in God’s world need to “fear the LORD.”  Everyone needs to bow the knee and worship Him.  He so great and so powerful, we must worship Him!

“But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple,” (Psalm 5:7).

“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name,” (Psalm 138:2).

Are you alive on God’s green earth?  You need to come, bow down, and adore the LORD!

“Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.”
Again, the psalmist appeals to everyone to worship Him.  His child as well as the ungodly need to “stand in awe of Him.”  Someday, everyone will bow the knee to God.

“For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God,” (Romans 14:11).

Mr. Agnostic and Dr. Atheist, please bow your knees today.  Do not wait until you must bend your knee in judgment.

Our God is worthy of all worship!
